Origin

Founded in 2008 on the campus of William Paterson University in New Jersey, Killer Goose Films is a venture in independent filmmaking. All of our films are personally funded and absent of any outside influence or guidance. Quite simply, we make the films we want to make. Hopefully you’ll like them too.

The White Lighter Effect

All we wanted to do was make a movie. In the Spring of 2008, looking for a fast way to submit one more film to the William Paterson University Film Festival, we embarked on a one-day shoot around campus. The small crew was assembled, the locations were scouted and we were ready to roll. There was, however, one small problem. Actually, it was a rather large problem…with wings and a beak! Apparently a couple of geese decided to camp out at one of our locations and attempt physical harm on anyone who dared go near. After three vicious attacks we reluctantly scampered to a safe distance and completed the shoot elsewhere. Fortunately, the cameras were rolling and captured all the action that day. The goose attacks are forever immortalized in one of our first films, “White Lighter.” And that is the origin of Killer Goose Films.

Creative Team

Dale

Dale DeVino
Producer. Born in Parsippany, NJ, Dale is the elder statesman of the group. After a not-too-brief layoff from his academic studies, Dale returned to William Paterson University in the Spring of 2008 and helped co-produce “Unbroken Circle.” Through that experience, Dale eventually wrote the script for “White Lighter.” Dale has previously written and directed three 16mm short films, which are thought to be lost. The search for them continues, and hopefully soon they will finally see the light of day.
